Institute scientists took part in an international conference in Guinea

On December 5-6, 2024, International Conference "From Pastoria to Global Health: Anthropological, Historical and Virological Research" was held at the Guinea Research Institute of Applied Biology (IRBAG, Kindia, Republic of Guinea), in which scientists from St. Petersburg Pasteur Research Institute took part.

Dr. Lidiya Kaftyreva, head, microbiology department and typhoid fever epidemiology group, delivered a report "Resistance to antimicrobial drugs of bacterial pathogens (strains of salmonella and campylobacter) isolated from food products and from patients with diarrheal syndrome in the province of Kindia, Republic of Guinea." Ekaterina Anufrieva, junior researcher, laboratory of immunology and virology of HIV infection, delivered a report "Comparative analysis of prevalence and molecular-genetic characteristics of some hemocontact infections in risk groups, key groups and among the conditionally healthy population."

During the mission, experts from the two institutes discussed plans for further bilateral cooperation.
