Institute scientists took part at the Conference on Infectious Diseases in Vietnam

On November 17 - 23, 2024, Olga Kanaeva, Head, Laboratory of Viral Infections Etiology and Control, and Vladimir Davydenko, Junior Researcher, Laboratory of Immunology and Virology of HIV Infection, visited Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City (Socialist Republic of Vietnam) within the frames of Russian-Vietnamese cooperation. The experts took part at the Conference "Infectious Diseases and Public Health Issues after the COVID-19 Pandemic". They also worked with their Vietnamese colleagues in order to prepare them for the theses defense.

During the Conference, Russian scientists presented reports "Infection caused by enterovirus 71 in the surveillance system for enterovirus infections in Russia and Vietnam" (Olga Kanaeva), "Prevalence of markers of viral hepatitis B and C among conditionally healthy individuals" (Vladimir Davydenko). The team of the poster report authors “Viral hepatitis B and D in HIV-infected individuals in South Vietnam”, represented by Dr. Yulia Ostankova, Head, Laboratory of immunology and virology of HIV infection, was awarded a diploma of the Conference.
