On November 15 to 23, 2024, a delegation of Saint-Petersburg Pasteur Institute: Dr. Vladimir Dedkov, Deputy Director for Research; Dr. Anna Gladkikh, Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Genetic Monitoring; Tatiana Arbuzova, Margarita Popova, Alena Sharova, junior researchers of the Laboratory of Molecular Genetic Monitoring visited the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang and the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Institute's experts discussed joint work within the framework of Russian-Vietnamese cooperation on the topics: "Diversity of dengue virus genotypes in humans and vectors (Aedes mosquitoes) in Central Vietnam", "Molecular epidemiology and serological monitoring of SARS-CoV-2 in Central Vietnam" at the Pasteur Institute (Nha Trang).
At the scientific conference dedicated to infectious diseases and public health issues due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Anna Gladkikh delivered an oral presentation “Epidemiology of COVID-19 and mutational dynamics of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron lineage in the northwestern federal district of Russia". Margarita Popova made a poster presentation on the topic "Circulation of different dengue serotypes in specific provinces of southern Vietnam" and Tatiana Arbuzova made a poster presentation on the topic "Evaluation of the RT-qPCR assay for the Puumala virus diagnostics".
