On November 9, 2023, at a meeting of the dissertation council at the Gabrichevsky Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology in Moscow, Anna Vyazovaya, PhD, Senior researcher of the Laboratory of Molecular Epidemiology and Evolutionary Genetics defended a thesis for a degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences (specialty “microbiology”). The D.Sc. degree is the highest scientific degree in Russia and is equivalent to HDR or Dr. hab. in some European countries.
The dissertation topic: “Genetic structure of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis population and multidrug resistance”. Scientific consultant – Professor Olga Narvskaya.
As a result of a secret vote, the dissertation council unanimously decided to award Anna Vyazovaya the degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences.
