On April 7-27, 2024, Dr. Anna Dolgova, Head, molecular genetics of pathogenic microorganisms laboratory, and Junior researcher Anna Shabalina carried out the laboratory training course on molecular cloning methods for experts from Venezuelan Institute of Scientific Research (IVIC, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela) within the framework of the international program for extraterritorial monitoring of infectious threats. The scientists provided training to their Venezuelan colleagues in methods of obtaining competent cells, cloning, assembly of short genetic sequences de novo, obtaining positive controls, performing real-time PCR on Russian-made mixtures, etc.
